**I don't know how or why I did not send this last week. Accept my apologies. I just found this chilling in my drafts. I tried to send it, but the wifi was skettcchhh**

This has been such an interesting week. It feels like I don't have a grasp on anything!

We have been working very hard on inviting and trying to find and help back those who have become less active and trying to help with callings. And it has seemed completely futile- very little has come from it. But the Lord has our back, because we have been blessed with part member families. We were hit with these open-hearted miracles on just the last day or two of the week tho... the Lord has continued to help me build my patience. 

Sunday's are normally more stressful than other days, but that is particularly true here. It is too much. But it's still the Lord's day and I still try to find my peace even as I try to help everyone else. 

Like all my friends have now returned from their missions. I have outlasted all of them😕 I have like 2 weeks though to make the most of!

This week I have a good excuse for putting my email off and keeping it brief: I was absorbed in family history! During my mother's day call, we talked about some ancestors and related materials, and I stayed on family search after that.... and 5 hours later I am close to solving a mystery with this one family branch I delved into. Family history can actually be pretty fun and rewarding! It's like solving a mystery.

I don't know why or for what reason, but the Lord has decided to bless us with a few miraculous days. We have been given more than plenty of food in times of need, people have stopped  us  and asked us about religion and English class (which is growing so fast!).  Some of the people we teach that we have been working with have opened up their hearts and are committed to change and life is just amazing! It still hasn't gone through my soul that I will be leaving Thailand next week. It causes anxiety in the moments I think about it, but I have found myself so much- discovered who I am and what makes me happy- that it is hard to think of myself not being here. In discussing zone conference from the previous Saturday, Sister Christensen said that we can't truthfully love missionary work without loving all of the aspects of missionary work. One of the least desirable parts of being a missionary is going out and inviting or tracking for large periods of time. To us, it is highly ineffective, it is physically draining, emotionally trying, we face much rejection and we often do hours of it at a single time. How fortunate that we were able to try out loving the part for a 5 hour block on Wednesday 555. With a   determination to love it, I went out to make that chuck of time a fun and positive chunk of time. The Work Continues

October 29th, 2017 5 months, 1 week Thailand, Bangkok, Chaing Mai  District samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) Family Home Evening was fantastic.  We visited our Filipino Relief Society President and family, aka Mom. She always loads us UP with great food every time we visit. After dinner, we played a game where their two kids had to draw a gospel picture with their eyes closed while someone else guesses. One of the budding artists had my companion, Elder Fylgare, helping him ("guiding" his hand). We turned this around into an object lesson and related it to having member fellow shippers involved while teaching investigators.   As I mentioned last week, we've decided to keep a focus on less active members.  So for this week, we've visited at least one a day.
