January 21th, 2018 7 months, 4th week Thailand, Bangkok, Chiang Mai  District samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) Isaiah 57:15 states: "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, having a deflated means of transport , to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." What a lovely scripture. There are many which iterate the same statement on what the Lord expects of us; the well-known phrase of a broken heart, contrite spirit, and flat tire. Waiiit, y'all DID read the scripture right? Well plot twist, I added it in because it's among the latest developments in my life! 555. Ya, so my tire was just randomly flat after a teaching appointment a few days ago. We walked home (thankfully not  too  far) and pumped it up with air, hoping that would fix things. It was all

We switched off with the zone leaders this past  Monday; which is always good as I get opportunities to observe their approach and be part of teaching investigators.  W e've just seen some solid results for our hard work here. We've seen an increase of new investigators, we've gotten a lot of solid referrals from members (blessing

Christmas was still exciting although this is the first time celebrating it without my family which made me a little homesick.  Our district got together and did a secret Santa and then we ate traditional South African soup. We had prepared for English class an interactive Nativity and it would have been excellent, except NO ONE showed up. That's always so frustrating :( This week has been characterized by us going through our investigators and evaluating what further efforts we needed to do or looking at passing them to a different set of missionaries to see if they might have a better connection.  Which makes me slightly sad, as it shrunk our teaching pool. But we experienced some small miracles on those whom we taught and we now have some solid looking FAMILIES (the best to teach and the best to bapti
