July 22nd, 2018 13th month, 4th week Thailand, Bangkok, Minburi Ward samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) If you're getting my emails and I'm not getting yours, you're fake and need to put me on "Thou shalt offer a sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in righteousness, even that of [your schedule and time. And] ... prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (D&C 59:8, 3 Nephi 24:10)" This  (apostate)  scripture splicing has been evident in this past week, entitled the WEEK OF MIRACLES - We have gone to both airports in Bangkok on a daily basis. We have literally gone one or more times every day this past week except for p day and  Sunday . -We received missionaries three separate times, we delivered missionaries six different times, some of them needed to be released cuz they finish their mis

July 15th, 2018 13 months, 2nd week Thailand, Bangkok, Minburi Ward samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) This has probably been my best and favorite week since coming to the new area!  English class is so much fun and surprisingly I was able to remember everybody's name in my class. This was a miracle, because I never remember anybody's name, especially with a one-week Gap.  But I did it! Because of how things have works out, I am English leader again, and I'm teaching a class by myself. We have a lot of non-native English speakers, and so I'm making them students. And even though my district is huge, I'm still teaching by myself. Which is fine, I love teaching English. It's fun to do all the activities. And we've had so many miracles this week! We've had lots of people show up to lessons or to church when we weren't thinking they would. We've had some random way sick people that we've been able to sta

July 1st, 2018 13 months, 1 week Thailand, Bangkok, Minburi Ward samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) Good morning and evening to everyone! This past week I started my internship, and it has been such a fun and exciting time. Internship? Yes that's right. That's basically what I'm doing. It's basically what I am. But I love it so much because I have the opportunity to personally assist my mission president and his work. This I have been doing quite a bit of these past few days. In fact, it is almost everything I've been doing. Maybe I should back up a little bit first. So I get into the office way early, and I find my companion. Elder Thornock is just as amazing and spectacular as anticipated, and I'm so flippin turnt for these transfers together. We jumped right into the work doing small things for teansfers and the new missionaries.  We had the privelege of helping President Johnson assemble a Mission President transition

Living in some intense THAI-mes

June 27th, 2018 13 months 1 week Thailand, Bangkok, Minburi Ward samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) For those that have been following my journey, I haven't made a Thai pun as my subject header for ages. I do so today in honor of my new companion- Elder Thornock (he has faithfully done so his entire mission)! He is from the MTC group below me, we switched off once when I was in Chiang Mai, he is amazing and so much fun, AND I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS NEW COMPANIONSHIP. Not only are we going to be companions in a bopping area, I am the newest office elder! This title holds different connotation in different missions, but here (to my current understanding) we are somewhat glorified secretaries. We put handle certain paperworks, we handle technology problems, we will probably go out to zone conferences this transfer, we do errands for the mission president (getting food and people for different activities and reasons), which means we also drive! We al

June 17th, 2018 1 YEAR, 3 weeks Thailand, Bangkok, Minburi Ward samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) Well good morning and good evening all! Coming to you live from the kingdom of Thailand, I am wishing you the happiest of Father's Days! Whether you are currently one, if you are going to be one in the future, or if you will be married to one ever, I give you a shout out now. Bask in the glory of this day for you. Speaking of Basking, I sure did bask in the Sun a whole ton on Saturday! We had away sick Ward activity, where we went to a place called Sattahip, which is I believe the southernmost point of Thailand, excluding the tail. Not going to lie, I wasn't a big fan of the beginning of the day. We rolled into this Resort place around  7:30 ,  8 a.m.  They had us all wearing fluorescent safety vests, that said we were members of the church. Kind of like a just serve shirt, but more safe. They had a sit-down, and divided into four different team

June 10th, 2018 1 YEAR, 2 weeks Thailand, Bangkok,  Minburi Ward samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) "And again, by way of commandment to the church concerning the manner of baptism—All those who humble themselves before God, and desire to be baptized, and come forth with broken hearts and contrite spirits, and witness before the church that they have truly repented of all their sins, and are willing to take upon them the name of Jesus Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end, and truly manifest by their works that they have received of the Spirit of Christ unto the remission of their sins, shall be received by baptism into his church." - D.C.  20:37 I am so happy and excited to announce that we have several investigators nearing those qualifications for baptism, as outlined in the verse above. We have two particularly, บ. แซม & บ. มัว, that look to be on track to be baptized by their goal, this upcoming Sunday. We have
