Much has happened, much has been similar to a lot of other times. 

I have been focusing on patience lately, and it seems the Lord is trying to jam-pack in as many intensely trying experiences as he can. There is much to complain about, but I am doing my best " to endure delay, trouble, opposition, or suffering without becoming angry, frustrated, or anxious." (PMG, chap 6).

One guy we have met with stopped coming to church because they kept the curtains closed during sacrament. That's one of the funnier reasons I've come across. 

This work is exhausting, but I am glad to burn through until the end. President Ballard is coming the week before I leave. 

I am having fun and great experiences with my companion.

I don't know why or for what reason, but the Lord has decided to bless us with a few miraculous days. We have been given more than plenty of food in times of need, people have stopped  us  and asked us about religion and English class (which is growing so fast!).  Some of the people we teach that we have been working with have opened up their hearts and are committed to change and life is just amazing! It still hasn't gone through my soul that I will be leaving Thailand next week. It causes anxiety in the moments I think about it, but I have found myself so much- discovered who I am and what makes me happy- that it is hard to think of myself not being here. In discussing zone conference from the previous Saturday, Sister Christensen said that we can't truthfully love missionary work without loving all of the aspects of missionary work. One of the least desirable parts of being a missionary is going out and inviting or tracking for large periods of time. To us, it is highly ineffective, it is physically draining, emotionally trying, we face much rejection and we often do hours of it at a single time. How fortunate that we were able to try out loving the part for a 5 hour block on Wednesday 555. With a   determination to love it, I went out to make that chuck of time a fun and positive chunk of time. The Work Continues

October 29th, 2017 5 months, 1 week Thailand, Bangkok, Chaing Mai  District samuel.montague @myldsmail.net (I would love to hear from you) Family Home Evening was fantastic.  We visited our Filipino Relief Society President and family, aka Mom. She always loads us UP with great food every time we visit. After dinner, we played a game where their two kids had to draw a gospel picture with their eyes closed while someone else guesses. One of the budding artists had my companion, Elder Fylgare, helping him ("guiding" his hand). We turned this around into an object lesson and related it to having member fellow shippers involved while teaching investigators.   As I mentioned last week, we've decided to keep a focus on less active members.  So for this week, we've visited at least one a day.
